First Freight Company, Sverdlovsk Railways, NOVATEK to Collaborate
OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2007. The managing director of First Freight Company, Salman Babaev, head of Sverdlovsk Railways, Vladimir Suprun, and first deputy chairman of the board at NOVATEK, Mikhail Popov, have signed a agreement on collaboration between the three companies, Russian Railways reported.
The said agreement comes after a previously signed document and the transfer on October 26, 2007 of Russian Railways’ entire inventory of tank cars to First Freight Company. The agreement therefore reflects the commitment of the three companies to ship products made by the Purovsk NGL Plant by rail.
"Under the agreement signed, 2.2 million tonnes of Purovsk NGL's products will be transported by rail in 2008. After commissioning the second stage of the plant, however, the volume of shipped products will increase to 5 million tonnes per annum by 2010," said Salman Babaev.
