Bratsk Subsidiary of Ilim Group Reports Output Down 1.2%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2007. During the first ten months of 2007, commodity output of Ilim Group Bratsk branch (established on the basis of Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill) amounted to 570 thousand tonnes, 7.3 thousand tonnes (1.2%) down as compared to January — October 2006, the company's press service reports.
Output of market pulp totalled 417.2 thousand tonnes, 7.6 thousand tonnes (1.8%) up as compared to the first ten months of 2006. Container board output amounted to 153.4 thousand tonnes, 14.4 thousand tonnes (8.5%) down year-over-year. Such a drop in output is due to the replacement of the in-line cutter-slitter of the board machine in the board line.
General pulping was at 640.4 thousand tonnes, 3.8 thousand tonnes (0.5%) down as compared to January – October 2006. Bleached softwood pulp output was at 184.5 thousand tonnes, 1.5 thousand tonnes (0.8%) up year-over-year. Bleached hardwood pulp output totalled 216.4 thousand tonnes, 7.4 thousand tonnes (3.5%) up year-over-year.
Over the first ten moths of 2007, 2 mln 837.6 thousand cu metres of raw materials were delivered to the facilities, 2.5 thousand tonnes down year-over-year. Pulpchip output was at 2 mln 478.4 thousand cu metres, 95.5 thousand cu metres (3.7%) down as compared to the first ten months of 2006.
