OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2007. "Uzbekinvest" National Export - Import Insurance Company participated in autumn meeting of International Union of Export Credit & Investments Insurers of Berne Union (Prague Club), which was held in Nairobi (Kenya), reported the press-centre of Uzbekinvest.

There were 63 representatives from 30 export-credit agencies (ECA) of Prague Club’s members, including Secretariat of Berne Union.

All ECA members of Prague Club made short reports about development of their companies. "Uzbekinvest" made report on export insurance for last 9 months 2007 year. Kimberly Will, General Secretary of Berne Union, made report on development data of export insurance in country-members, which proved dynamic growth & stability of insurance market in developing countries.

"Uzbekinvest" National Export – Import Insurance Company & Export Credit Guarantee Company of Egypt (ECGE E) have signed Cooperation Agreement during the meeting. This agreement provides for cooperation in supporting & promotion of trade & investments between Uzbekistan & Egypt by means of mutual information exchange on countries, enterprises & banks, foreign trade activity insurance, technical assistance & personal training.

Also "Uzbekinvest" carried on negotiations with members of Prague Club - ECA of Serbia (AOFI) & Sudan (NAIFE). Results of negotiations are mutual cooperation agreement & encouragement of trade relations & in case of need, signing an agreement. Besides that supervisors of Berne Union’s Secretariat advised on issues about export insurance with business partners – supervisors of EKA members.

It is worth to mention that opinion of Prague Club & Berne Union to Uzbekistan is loyal, it is agreed that political situation is positive and stable and economic growth of the Republic of Uzbekistan is dynamic.
