OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2007. Power Machines and its partner in China Zhejiang Fuchunjiang Hydropower Equipment Co. Ltd signed 28 million Euro contracts for supplies of equipment for HPP Shengsigou and HPP Yinpan in China.

Power Machines will provide design, production, model tests and supplies of four runners for 165 MW hydroturbines for HPP Shengsigou project. Scope of work makes about 17 million Euros. Daduhe River Hydropower Development Corporation, Ltd acts as a Customer of the project.

Power Machines will also provide design, production, model tests and supplies of four runners for 150 MW hydroturbines for HPP Yinpan project. The contract price is over 11 million Euros. Chongqing branch of Datan generating company acts as a Customer of the project.

The present contracts will be completed in the framework of an agreement on strategic partnership in the field of co-design of turbine and generator parts and production cooperation signed between Power Machines and Zhejiang Fuchunjiang Hydropower Equipment Co. Ltd in April 2007.

Among prospective co-projects of the companies are projects for construction of HPP Paklay in Laos (10 power units of 132 MW each) and HPP Hutgi Myanma (7 power units of 170 MW each and 1 power unit of 132 MW).
