OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2007. Ыkio bankas together with Respublikos Leidiniш Grupл issued a new payment card, Maestro Olialia, which will replace the previously introduced Olialia Gold discount card. The new Maestro Olialia is a debit chip Maestro payment card with all the functions of a debit card, accepted both in Lithuania and abroad and ensuring the discounts of Olialia Gold cards. From now on, the card may be ordered only at Ыkio bankas subdivisions. All Maestro Olialia cardholders will participate in the Loyalty Programme uniting more than 100 partners who offer the discounts from 10 to 100 percent to the cardholders.

“This is the first solution developed by Ыkio bankas and a media company, which will ensure a still higher value to Olialia Gold cardholders and guarantee not only excellent savings opportunities but also a modern way of payment. Introducing the new card we believe that our clients will appreciate its advantages and benefit from excellent discounts that are becoming still more relevant with the holiday season approaching,” Jыratл Kajackienл, director of Ыkio bankas Payment Cards Department, said.

“During the first year of Olialia Programme over 50 thousand persons became its users with 56 percent of women among them. More than 100 partners offering different discounts at shops, cafes, sports clubs and others joined the programme. The next-year plan is to increase the number of partners and expand the variety of discounts all over Lithuania,” project manager Nida Binkauskл said. In her words, information about all the discounts granted is published in press and placed on the website www.olialia.lt (in Lithuanian). The publications Respublika, Vakaro Юinios, Vakarш Ekspresas, Рiauliш Kraрtas, Юemaitis, and Laisvalaikis with the readership exceeding 1.5 million participate in the creation of the Loyalty Programme.

“People are happy with the possibility to save hundreds of litas,” says Ms. Binkauskл. The holders of the new payment card will also enjoy big discounts for the participation in various events and campaigns organised by Respublikos Leidiniш Grupл.

Maestro Olialia payment card will be valid for two years and cost LTL 30. Olialia Gold card will be still valid until 20 January 2008 and its holders will pay less for its replacement with the new Maestro Olialia card, i. e. LTL 15.

Maestro Olialia payment card, like Ыkio bankas regular Maestro card, may be used for daily purchases and cash withdrawal and therefore, it is especially convenient for the transfer of salaries or stipends. The card grants the opportunity to postpone the payment for goods or services in which case one can use a credit granted by the Bank. Several payment cards may be issued to the card account and therefore, the whole family will have the chance to benefit from the credit and discounts. The card account can be managed in the internet banking system and used for a direct debit service, payment of bills or execution of other payment transactions.
