OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2007. For the ten months of 2007 Belarus made almost Br15 trillion worth of innovation products. Companies of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction made Br8,5 trillion worth of products and enterprises of the Industry Ministry – more than Br6 trillion, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Vladimir Matiushkov said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers, which focused on the course of implementing the governmental innovation programme for 2007-2010, reported the Official website www.government.by.

Some Br2,4 trillion was funneled into the implementation of the programme, Vladimir Matiushkov underlined.

This year the implementation of 660 projects has been underway. Some 59 relevant facilities have been sent into service. In December 109 more projects of the programme will be carried out. Some 14 projects face certain problems which hinder their implementation, said the official.
Vladimir Matiushkov named the most important projects of the programme. In 2007 specialists completed the technical upgrade of the quartz-enriched dry sand plant of the Gomel-based mining and concentration complex, sent into operation several big cattle-breeding farms and built a plant of household appliances of Atlant Co. On the whole 2,043 new jobs were created within the framework of the innovation programme.

Amendments are introduced to the current programme on a permanent basis, Vladimir Matiushkov said. For example, not long ago certain projects, which are planned to be carried out in 2008-2009, were included in the document. The matter concerns the construction of a dried milk plant, an architectural project of the High-Tech Park and others. Financing volumes and schedules of works on 36 projects have not been determined yet. That is why state customers should do this work till the end of the current year and make necessary adjustments to the plan of implementing the programme.
