Sergey Dunaylo to Act as the Chairman of NERC
OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2007. One of the members of the National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sergey Dunaylo, will act as the Chairman of NERC.
As reported earlier, the Government of Ukraine dismissed Sergey Titenko from his duties as Chairman of NERC on 08/11/2007 since he had been elected a people’s deputy in the extraordinary parliamentary elections on 30/09/2007.
S. Dunaylo (year of birth - 1960) was appointed the member of the Commission in late December 2005. Prior to this appointment, he was the Head of the Economy and Finance Department of the Executive Directorate of OJSC Kievenergo, operating the energy industry in the capital of Ukraine.
S. Titenko had chaired NERC from April 2004 to March 2005. From March 2005 to January 2007, he held the office of the Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy, and in February 2007, he chaired the Commission again.
The NERC performs state regulation of natural gas monopolies in the electricity and oil & gas sectors and provides pricing and tariff policy in these areas.
