OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2007. As of October 2007, unemployment in Ukraine totalled 2%, the sate committee of statistics told, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The August-September unemployment totalled 2,1%.

According to data of the State Security Service, as of late October, as many as 553,700 unemployed were registered in Ukraine. As many as 354,600 of them were men and 283,800 of unemployed resided in Ukraine.

As many as 578,500 Ukrainian were registered in job centres in late October and only 207,400 openings were available for the time.

As many as 395,300 unemployed received a one time aid in October.
