OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2007. Metrowagonmash (MWM, a CJSC Transmashholding member company) sent five metro cars (two head and three intermediate cars) designated 81-714.5B/717.5B to the Azerbaijan capital city of Baku on November 15.

The plant implemented the contract for manufacture and shipment of 25 metro cars.

The new metro cars will be made operational as soon as this December.

The agreement between MWM and the Baku metro was concluded on November 28, 2006.

Metrowagonmash has been delivering metro cars to the Azerbaijan metro for over 30 years now. The company cars total over 80% of the country capital metro fleet.
