Transmashholding’s Sales Grows by around 20%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2007. The CJSC Transmashholding sales in January-September 2007 grew by 19.3% year-on-year to about 46 billion roubles ($1.8 billion) net of VAT.
The best sales increase for the 2007 first three quarters was recorded by the industrial electric locomotives (from 5 to 21, +320%), main line diesel locomotives (from 27 to 43, +59.3 %), metro cars (from 144 to 197, +36.8%), marine vessel and locomotive diesels (from 308 to 404,+31.2%).
Sales of some other critical products have been growing within the period: main line electric locomotives - 16.4% (156 to 134), electric train cars - 13.2% (456 to 403), freight cars - 12.3% (1575 to 1402), and passenger cars - 9.5% (656 to 599). The Bryansk Engineering Plant launched the production of the 2TE25K Peresvet main line freight diesel locomotive pilot batch in the third quarter of 2007.
In September 2007, Transmashholding and JSC RZD concluded the first three-year contract for shipment of large batches of E5K AC main line freight and EP2K DC passenger locomotives. The taxes paid by Transmashholding member companies to all level budgets totaled 5.5 billion roubles (around $0.2 billion) within the first nine months of 2007.
