OREANDA-NEWS.November 19, 2007.  Board Meeting, in which representatives of the main rail trade union RosProfZhel also took part, directors and unionists of Russian Railways approved a draft collective agreement for 2008-2010.

According to Russian Railways' press release, the main goals of the agreement are to increase in the Company's efficiency and the social responsibility of both sides for its activity and operations. Attending the board meeting were Senior Vice-President of Russian Railways Fedor Andreev, Vice-President Oleg Atkov, and the chairman of RosProfZhel Nikolai Nikiforov, as well as heads of railway departments and other workers' representatives. The board resolved that the agreement would include comments and proposals from those attending, after which the document would be presented to the president of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin and the chairman of RosProfZhel Nikolai Nikiforov.
