OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2007. According to the results of the 2007 transparency and disclosure survey of the Russian companies published by Standard & Poor’s rating agency, "Southern Telecommunications Company" PJSC  is the most transparent company among the mega-regional telecoms.

The research covers 80 largest publicly listed companies in Russia having most liquid shares. "UTK" PJSC gains the eleventh position in the ranking. The survey is based on public information alone.

The methodology accounts for 108 items of disclosure grouped in three blocks:
Ownership structure and shareholder rights;
Financial and operational information;
Board and management structure and processes.

According to S&P analysts, transparency and disclosure are most material factors influencing a company’s investment appeal and most important elements of corporate governance.
