OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2007. OPK signed memorandum with top Chinese corporations

United Industrial Corporation (OPK) signed a Memorandum with CSC, Chinese State Corporation for Export and Import of Machinery and Equipment, a member of All China General Technology Corporation (Genertec).

This Memorandum provides for participation of a consortium of the leading Chinese companies in implementation of Kyzyl-Kuragino railroad construction project as a part of development of Elegest coke coal field located in the center of the Republic of Tyva. China Railroad Construction Company and China’s First Research Institute are among the members of the consortium. These companies have accumulated extensive experience in the sphere of design and construction of railroad facilities under challenging high-mountain environmental conditions (in particular the above companies have designed and constructed a high-mountain Tibet railroad).

The Memorandum signing ceremony was held as a part of II Russia – China summit economic forum in Moscow in the presence of the Vice Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Zhukov and the Vice Premier of China Wu Yi.
