OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2007. A gas pipe corrosion protection skill competition for fitters has been finished in Kamensk-Uralsky. Sergei Koksharov, a worker with the local integrated operation and maintenance service of OJSC Urals Gas Networks (a subsidiary of the Gazeks holding company), has won a victory.

In the course of the competition, gas sector workers demonstrated their knowledge of regulatory documents and theory of insulating materials. The main test of the gas workers' skill was an assignment to find and repair three defects in cathodic protection equipment for five minutes. The competition involved specialists from Kamensk-Uralsky, Irbit, Kamyshlov, and Sukhoy Log.

For OJSC Urals Gas Networks workers, the gas pipe corrosion protection skill competition for fitters has served as another confirmation of their high professional level. At a countrywide professional skill competition among Gazeks subsidiaries, the Urals Gas Networks team also confidently took first place in the Best Emergency Crew category and the Best Assembly Crew category.
