OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2007. Yuri Yarov, president of OJSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation” (OSK) visited FSUE “PO “Sevmash”.

It is the first visit of OSK Head in Severodvinsk. Before getting new position Yuri Yarov headed FSUE “Severnoye CDB” in St.Petersburg. At the beginning of November by decision of government committee he was appointed president of OJSC “United Shipbuilding Corporation”. New structure, established by RF President Decree (dd March 22, 2007), aimed at uniting Russian shipyards. Sevmash will be included in one out of three subholdings – OJSC “Northern Center of shipbuilding and ship repairing”.

On Sevmash Yuri Yarov discussed working questions regarding establishment of OSK with Director General Nikolay Kalistratov, visited slip way shop, aircraft carrier deck (former “Admiral Gorshkov”), which is being refurbished by India order. At the end of the visit he met enterprise administration.

 “Today corporation is already registered, we have agreed board of directors (with Sergey Naryshkin at the head of it) with president and government. During the last meeting of government committee heads of Northern, Western and Far eastern centers of shipbuilding and ship repairing are appointed”, – said Yarov.
