OREANDA-NEWS. JSC “Aeroflot” has received and already commissioned the tenth А319 jetliner named “V. Kandisnkiy”, the Aeroflot press service reports. The aircraft has been named in honor of the great Russian painter, the art theorists and poet, one of the  XX century avant-garde leaders Vasiliy Kandinskiy.

This one is the second aircraft of this type received in the current year under the operational leasing arrangement effected in 2007. The Lessor is the General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The deal envisages procurement by the end of this year of another similar jetliner. In addition to that, before the end of 2007 Aeroflot will receive another А321 within the framework of earlier arrangements. In 2008, the company expects deliveries of eleven А320 liners. All are brand new ones to be delivered right from the Airbus production facilities.

Meanwhile, the company’s jetliners fleet comprises 32 vehicles of А320 family, including 10 – А319, 13 – А320, 9 – А321. The planes have two-class seating layouts capable to take on-board 116 (А319), 140 (А320) and 170 (А321) passengers, respectively. Jetliners of this makes are very popular in the world. Aeroflot operates А320s on the wide network of European and domestic fight routes. In terms of operational reliability and actual airborne hours per a single airplane, Aeroflot is positioned among the world leaders.
