Russian Gov*t Transfers to Atomenergoprom Stakes of Civil Atomic JSCs

In line with a President’s decree, the Government has given over to Atomenergoprom 100% of TVEL OJSC, 100% of Techsnabexport OJSC (Tenex), 100% of Atomredmetzoloto OJSC, 100% of Alliancetransatom, 100% of the Center for the Information and Exhibition Activities of the Nuclear Power Industry, 100% of the Capital Construction Department, 100% of “OLenKur” Recreation and Sports Center, 100% of Moscow Polymetal Plant, 100% of Efkon OJSC, 100% of VNIIEF, 100% of Sevatomenergoremont OJSC, 30% of “Signal” Instrument Factory, 49% of Mospromtekhmontazh OJSC, 49% of “Progress” Protvino Experimental Plant, 100% of Izotop OJSC (Khabarovsk), 25.1% of Kaluga Turbine Factory OJSC, 100% of Orgstroyproekt OJSC, 49% of Spetsmontazhmekhanizatsiya OJSC, 25.5% of Mosspewtsatomenergomontazh OJSC, 49% of Sverdlovsk Research Institute of Chemical Machine Building, 25.5% of Tsentroenergomontazh OJSC, 53.8% of Energospetsmontazh, 25.5% of Research and Development Institute for Means of Control of Electronic Equipment, 25.5% of Sevkavenergomontazh, 74.8% of “Venta” Machine Building Plant, 100% of Izotop OJSC (Yekaterinburg), 25.5% of Atomspetskonstruktsiya OJSC, 50%+1 share of the Central Research Institute of Machine Building Technologies, 25.5% of Perlovo Electric Equipment Plant, 2.77% of Chepetsk Mechanical Plant, and 100% of VNIPIET (Sosnovy Bor), the Rosatom press center reports.
At the next stage, which is to be completed in early 2008, Atomenergoprom is to receive 100% stakes in 55 federal state unitary enterprises to be reorganized into open joint stock companies in line with the President’s decree.
Atomenergoprom is a state-owned full-cycle company, which is supposed to design, site, build, operate and maintain nuclear power plants, modernize and repair nuclear equipment, control radiation sources and nuclear materials storage facilities, carry out research in the field of peaceful use of the nuclear energy, introduce new technologies, prospect and mine mineral resources containing radioactive matters, enrich uranium and other nuclear materials, export and import products and services related to the use of the nuclear energy.
