OREANDA-NEWS. November 12, 2007. The British Independent Energy Company Limited (EICO) means to invest some 200 million USD to agricultural projects in Ukraine, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

As the company's press release reported, the IECO means, in particular, to create a daughter company on the agrarian market of the Kherson region (South Ukraine) in some districts, where irrigation was earlier applied but in 1990s irrigation systems were demounted. The IECO runs technologies and resources for their restoration and modernization.

The British company is interested in the rent of agrarian lands in Ukraine for growing grains (wheat, rye, sunflower and rape).

The Independent Energy Company Limited was established in Great Britain in 2005 with a view of investing to Ukraine. Shareholders of the EICO are residents from the USA and Great Britain, IECO partners actively invest to agricultural enterprises in Argentina and Brazil.
