OREANDA-NEWS. BPC of Belarus has informed Uralkali that it is resuming its potash sales and has increased potash prices (pmt on a CFR basis) as follows:

- For sales in spot Asian markets, from USD 360.00 to USD 400.00 for Standard MOP, with immediate effect.
- For sales with delivery after January 1, 2008 in the spot market in Brazil, from 345-355 to USD 400.00-410.00 for Granular MOP (depending on customer sizes).

According to Uralkali's press service, BPC has informed the Company that the price increases are driven by strong demand for potash in its major markets versus tight supply characteristics and also as a result of increased freight rates.
