OREANDA-NEWS. The Engels Pipe Plant (Engels, Saratov region), part of the Group of companies ESTAR, increased pipe production by 16% (up to 62,418 t) in January-October as compared to the similar period in 2006, the Managing Сompany ESTAR informed.

As the press service of the Engels Pipe Plant informed INTERFAX, over the 10 months the production of round water and gas pipes increased by 19.6% - up to 50,283 t; shaped pipes production increased by 4% up to 12,135 t.

It is also noted in the release that the enterprise implements investment projects of reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the basic infrastructure.

“Upgrade of the roll-forming machine mill will allow improvement of the welding process for pipes with wall thickness up to 5.5 mm. The plant also plans to purchase the equipment for implementing a complex system of product bar coding”, says the press release.
