OREANDA-NEWS. German city of Magdeburg is hosting Day of Ukrainian Economy, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The event is attended by over 200 representatives of German and Ukrainian business. A Ukrainian official delegation are led by Economy Minister Anatoliy Kinakh.

Germany is the second biggest trade partner after Russia, but the volume of German direct foreign investments to the Ukrainian economy is the biggest (in the first half of 2007 it stood at 5,677 bn. USD). There are 1,200 companies with full or partial German capital in Ukraine.
