OREANDA-NEWS. "The Best 100 Commodities of Ukraine" contest consisted of three stages (preparatory, regional and national), lasted for 2006-2007, came to a finish. The summing up of the contest results took place at exhibitions titled "The Best 100 Commodities of Ukraine" and the "Best Enterprises of Ukraine".

According to the press-release by Astarta, on November 5  the awarding ceremony took place at the National Palace "Ukraine":  after successful passing of all the stages and the proper inspection, granulated sugar produced by one of the ASTARTA plants was rewarded as the winner in the "Food Products" nomination. The Prize and diploma of the Contest were awarded to Zhdanivsky sugar plant  in the Vinnitsa oblast. This reward became another recognition of competitiveness and excellent quality of sugar produced by ASTARTA.

The State Committee for Standardization of Ukraine was the official organizer of the All-Ukrainian products quality contest "The Best 100 Commodities of Ukraine". The Contest was aimed to unite the efforts directed to quality improvement and competitiveness of Ukrainian products, to assist in the implementation of modern quality management methods at the Ukrainian enterprises in order to meet consumers' requirements and expectations. To provide the unbiased results, expert groups of specialists from the State Committee for Standardization of Ukraine, representatives of scientific and research organizations and general public were formed.
