OREANDA-NEWS. The participants of the 2nd professional forum of energy traders of Russia have proclaimed Rosenergoatom Concern the leader of the wholesale electricity market among power generating companies, Rosatom's press service reports.

The forum was conducted in Moscow, Oct 31-Nov 1 2007, by Energy Market magazine and Energy Trader specialized web portal (www.energotrade.ru) with the support of Trade System Administrator and Guaranteeing Suppliers and Energy Sellers NGOs. This year the winners were selected by wholesale electricity market participants and experts from infrastructure organizations. Such a voting was expected to ensure higher objectivity and independence and it did. The victory of Rosenergoatom has proved its professionalism and competence and is the result of its hard work to ensure effective sale of electricity on the wholesale market. According to the preliminary report, in January-October 2007 Rosenergoatom Concern fulfilled 101.6% of its electricity production plan: the Concern produced almost 2bln KWh  more electricity than planned. In the said period of 2007,  Rosenergoatom's sales on the wholesale electricity market made up RUR5.193bln.
