OREANDA-NEWS. Day of Ukrainian economy will run in Magdeburg, Germany, on November 8. The event will be initiated by the public organization "German-Ukrainian Forum " and "Interkom Sachsen-Anhalt", reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

According to the Economy Ministry's press service, a Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Economy Minister, President of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Party Anatoliy Kinakh.

Economy Minister of Sachsen-Anhalt Reiner Haseloff noted that Germany seeks to invest into Ukraine. According to him, large prospects for cooperation between the states are spotted at the chemical and processing industries and the sectors of scientific researches and bio technologies.

Within the framework of the event the conferences "Ukraine- Chances for Companies of Sachsen-Angalt" and "Practical Issues of Entering Ukrainian Market" will be held and will see reports of Ukrainian and German businessmen.

According to data of the State Committee of Statistics, Ukraine saw direct foreign investments in the first half of 2007 by 11,8% more to 24,171 bn USD from 119 countries, notably, Germany (5,7 bn USD), Cyprus (4,13 bn USD), Austria (1,96 bn USD), Netherlands (1,86 bn USD), UK (1,79 bn USD), USA (1,38 bn USD) and Russia (1,24 bn USD).
