OREANDA-NEWS. Last week the administration of the Tver region, JSC FGC UES, JSC IDGC of Center and JSC Tverenergo signed an Agreement on Cooperation while running Investment Programs on the increase of power supply reliability and connection of the new consumers to power grids for the period 2007-2011, the press service of MRSK reports. Dmitry Zelenin, Governor of Tver region, Andrey Rappoport, Chairman of the Board of Directors of  JSC FGC UES, Evgeny Makarov, General Director of JSC IDGC of Center, Sergey Elkin, General Director of JSC Tverenergo, affixed their signatures to the document.

The Agreement is focused on the increase of power supply reliability for the Tver region consumers, creation of necessary technical conditions for the connection of new consumers to the power grids and increase power consumption of the consumers connected earlier on. The document stipulates integrated development of 35-220 kV power grid units in the territory of the Tver region on the base of the programs worked out by the experts of JSC FGC UES, JSC IDGC of Center and JSC Tverenergo. Within the framework of the Agreement, power grid companies plan to reconstruct 90 km of 35-110 kV distribution lines, 108 35-220 kV substations, commission 212.6 MVA of transformer capacity in the territory of the Tver region. The aggregate investment of JSC FGC UES, JSC IDGC of Center and JSC Tverenergo into development of power grid complex of Tver region will amount to 4 billion rubles. Within the framework of the Agreement JSC FGC UES will fully reconstruct and reequip the Nelidovo 220 kV substation with the capacity of 250 MVA. The start of the substation reconstruction is planned for 2008. The reconstruction of the Nelidovo 220 kV substation will provide Tver power supply system with reliability. Smolensk SDPS receives its capacity through the substation busbars. The reconstruction will provide with consumers from Nelidovo, the town with more than 24 thousand inhabitants, as well as industrial enterprises, such as JSC Nelidovo Plastic Plant, JSC Nelidovo Hydraulic Presses, JSC Nelidovo Woodworking Plant, with reliable power supply. Federal Grid Company will spend more than 1.6 billion rubles for the program implementation.

Also, within the framework of the Agreement, JSC Tverenergo (included into configuration of JSC IDGC of Center) will reconstruct 90 km of distribution lines, 107 35-110 kV substations including Vagzhanovskaya 35 kV substation, Sholmino 110 kV substation, Danilovskoye 35 kV substation. The distribution grid company also plans to build Yuzhnaya-2 10 kV substation with an aggregate transformer capacity of 126 MVA. JSC Tverenergo will spend 2.8 billion rubles for the implementation of the program on reconstruction, technical re-equipment and building of new power grid units within the framework of the Agreement.

The implementation of the investment program will increase reliability, stability and efficiency of power grid units on the whole. Moreover, carrying out the measures included in the investment program will create technical conditions for the development of 35-220 kV grid as well as for connection of the new consumers, and will become a reliable base for the development of the regional economy. The Agreement stipulates that the companies, participating in the implementation of investment projects in the territory of Tver region, will rely on the regional authorities for support in consideration and of the issues concerning location of power grid units.
