Centertelecom had recently received claims from interregional Inspection of Federal Tax Service on largest tax payers; after an examination of 2004-2006 was completed, the authority charged company with 440 mn RUR, reports Veles Capital with reference to a message by Centertelecom. Biggest slice of claims was estimated by tax collector upon requalification of deals on regular economic activities. Centertelecom is does not agree with conclusions of tax collectors regarding all additional claims and will protect its right in court, states the message. The reported news is slightly negative for quotes of Centertelecom and other IRCs, which are probably the next ones to face such claims. Still, Centertelecom gave no details regarding claims of tax authorities, so it is hard to judge reasons and prospects of the given case, the expert say. Despite of the claims, their influence over fair price of shares of Centertelecom does not exceed 1%.
