OREANDA-NEWS. New Harvest ship was insured for the total of $20mln. The leading insurance company was Italy's SIAT, whereas the share of Rosgosstrakh (based in Moscow) according to the insurance agreement totaled 15%. In December 2006, the ship was dragged to China, as certain discrepancies were discovered in the Indian Ocean. The ship owner and the cargo owners bore $7mln losses associated with the repairs of the ship in Dec 2006 through May 2007, of which $594,000 was offset by Rosgosstrakh under the insurance agreement with Greece-based ship owner company.
