OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2007. Ukrsotsbank grants almost a third part of credits to clients in the national currency. As of October 26 of this year Ukrsotsbank loan portfolio exceeds UAH 21 billion of which 7 billion is loans granted in the national currency. The volume of loans in UAH grew by 67% since the beginning of the year, reported the press-centre of Ukrsotsbank.

"UAH is stable, transparent, predictable currency", believes Ukrsotsbank Deputy Chairwoman, Iryna Kniazeva. The banker marks that, if earlier, when USD and UAH loan rates varied significantly, people preferred USD, but now it has become advantageous to take UAH. In this case you do not need to be afraid of exchange risk as the increase of USD or EUR rate automatically leads to an increase of the loan payments.

Let us remind that Ukrsotsbank reduced UAH loan rates on a number of products, for both individuals and corporate clients and thus made crediting conditions in UAH even more attractive.
