OREANDA-NEWS. SIBUR has completed the investment project for the expansion and reconstruction of the existing capacity of the first start-up complex at Yuzhno-Balyksky GPP (Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous District). As of today, precommissioning work at the GPP is close to completion. Priobskaya compressor station owned by NK Rosneft is ready to deliver more associated petroleum gas (APG) to Yuzhno-Balyksky GPP. The new gas processing units are expected to come onstream on the 5th of November at the latest, which will allow increasing the volume of APG processed from 1.09 bcm to 1.6-1.7 bcm per annum.

Agreement with NK Rosneft on the supply of additional APG volumes made it possible to proceed with the construction of the second start-up complex at Yuzhno-Balyksky GPP, which would contribute to the capacity of the plant and allow processing over 3 bcm of APG annually. The project is scheduled for completion in 2009.

“Reconstruction of Yuzhno-Balyksky GPP is significant in terms of the feedstock base enhancement”, - Dmitry Konov, President SIBUR LLC, said in a statement. - “Cooperation with Rosneft and other oil companies along with the state support are a great help on the way to the rational APG utilization.”
