Russia Offers India to Make Investments in Angarsk
OREANDA-NEWS. During a press-conference in New Delhi the acting secretary of the Security Council of Russia Valentin Sobolev said that it was one of the possible ways for India to pay for the nuclear fuel to be supplied to its Kudankulam NPP.
During the Nov visit to Russia Indian Premier Manmohan Singh, the parties are going to sign an agreement for the construction of four units in addition to the two units Russia is already building in Kudankulam (India). The investments India will make in the Angarsk center under such a scenario would be regarded as payment for the uranium fuel to be supplied to Kudankulam NPP. With India Russia is going to apply the same fuel supply technology as it applies with Iran, Sobolev said.
