OREANDA-NEWS. The 11th International Forum of Means for Provision of State Security "Interpolitex-2007" is to be held in Moscow from October 30 to November 2. The Rosoboronexport State Corporation is a traditional participant at this exhibition, reported the press-centre of Rosoboronexport.

Rosoboronexport, the sole state intermediary agency for Russia's exports/imports of defense-related and dual-use products, technologies and services, offers its foreign partners a wide range of advanced special-purpose weapons and technical facilities. These are used for equipping law enforcement and anti-terrorist units in 50 countries; first of all form South-East Asia and the Middle East regions. Africa and Latin America are considered to be very prospective markets for special weapons export. Special weapons and equipment export shows one of the most dynamic growth rates in the corporate operations.

Taking into account the growing demand for modern and effective anti-terrorist weapons in the world, the Rosoboronexport State Corporation is ready to increase exports of special-purpose assets to meet diverse requests and requirements of foreign customers.

In the field of counter-terrorism Rosoboronexport cooperates with the Security Council and CIS Antiterrorism Centre. The Corporation delivers Russian special weapons and equipment strictly to the units of the state special services and law-enforcement agencies thus preventing the terrorists from getting hold of the arms. While promoting special weapons and equipment for export, the Rosoboronexport State Corporation can also organise a comprehensive training of customers’ personnel for special-operations and anti-terrorist units, both in Russia and abroad.

At the Interpolitex'2007 Exhibition the Corporation presents various technical facilities used by the anti-terrorist units of Russia’s Federal Security Service, and other Russian-made special-purpose products, such as numerous appliances designed for disposal and dismantling of explosive devices and their subsequent transportation, examining and neutralizing. These include the special SV-1356 remote destructor of explosive devices. This durable device can be effectively deployed in the field conditions, optionally fitted with audio- and video surveillance equipment.

Rosoboronexport will also present the most effective special-purpose firearms designed for special operations and law enforcement detachments. It concerns specific silenced weapons, such as the PSS silent self-loading pistol, AS special-purpose silent assault rifle, as well as arms intended for assault operations including SR-1 self-loading pistol, SR-2 submachine gun, and SR-3 compact assault rifle.

The basic characteristics of these weapons such as a limited maximum kill range and a high single-shot and automatic fire density allow anti-terrorist units to reduce probability of collateral damage to civil population, hostages, and special service personnel, as well as prevent destruction during their operations.

Visitors of Rosoboronexport’s stand will be provided with specific information and professional advice regarding various export options offered by Russian defence enterprises.

Upon visiting the stand of the Rosoboronexport State Corporation at the Interpolitex'2007, our partners will get acquainted with the new modern and highly advanced Russian-made military and dual-use products offered for export, that have their combat performance well comparable with, and in some instances surpassing, that of their counterparts of leading foreign countries.
