OREANDA-NEWS. Expenses for activities on labour safety in the IIIrd quarter of 2007 were increased in comparison with the same period of 2006 by 59% and amounted to 124,8 mln rubles, reported the press-centre of JSC “IDGC of the Center”.

In general, expenses for activities on labour protection from the beginning of the year increased compared to the same period of 2006 by 18% and amounted to 242,4 mln rubles, including 5,4 mln rubles were spent to purchase personal protection equipment, tools and devices. The personnel are equipped with protective clothes, shoes, tools for 20072008 autumn and winter.

The activities on approval of individual work places is being continued, over 3 ths working places were approved. 10 567 working places, i.e. 82% out of all working places were approved. The labor protection management system and risks, which can lead to personnel injuries were analyzed during the IIIrd quarter. The project of the new labour protection management system in compliance with OHSAS 18001:1999 and GOST R 12.0.006-2002 was developed in which the policy, targets and aims of labor protection, actions of IDGC. DGC, DG PD staff were stated. The work on OHSAS 18001:1999 implementing in JSC “Tverenergo” was launched, presently, the certificates of compliance were received by two PDs.

The held activities allowed reducing the injury level. The total level of work injuries reduced by 2,1 in comparison with the same period of the previous year (9 months).

"In general, the IIIrd quarter results on labor protection activities implementation can be considered satisfactory", - said Olga Zuykova, Head of Technical Inspection Department. - The next targets will become the development of additional activities on work injuries prevention, implementation of a new labour protection system, adapted to the existing conditions and new structure, increase of control and compliance with rules, requirements on labor protection".
