OREANDA-NEWS. October 30, 2007. Skourikhin Pavel, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Group of Companies Siberian Agrarian Holding (SAHO) and the Governor of the Ulyanov region Sergey Morozov, have signed the Agreement for investment cooperation.

The document was signed within the VI International Investment Forum Sochi-2007. It regulates the realization of the project for SAHO subsidiary agro holding construction in the Ulyanovsk region.

According to the investment project it is planned to form the vertically integrated subsidiary agro holding in the Ulyanovsk region covering crops cultivation, grain storing and processing and further production of bread and bakery goods. Under the project SAHO is going to purchase 100 thousand ha of sawn areas in some regional districts, to equip agricultural farms with high-tech machinery and to increase storing and processing capacities. Besides, it is supposed to build bread-baking plants in Ulyanovsk and its regional settlements under the own trade mark Khlebnitsa, 20 thousand tones a year capacity.

After the Agreement has been signed at the forum, Sergey Morozov, the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, stressed on the significance of joint work with SAHO. He said that cooperation with the Siberian Agrarian Holding makes it possible not only to attract investors to the region but to increase tax revenue too. Federal holding entering the Ulyanovsk region gave high-paid work to people, that is very important for agriculture, — the governor said. SAHO subsidiary agro holding will give more than 100 working places to Ulyanovsk citizen.

SAHO has already purchased for SAHO-Agro-Ulyanovsk subsidiary farm a set of agricultural machinery; new highly-productive tractors are already used in Ulyanovsk fields. The issue on the lands for holdings is already settled by 60 %. In September, 2007 SAHO has purchased Chufarovskoye bread reception complex in Veshkaimskoye district of Ulyanovsk region. Chufarovskoye HPP has become the first of SAHO enterprises in the European part of Russia performing the functions of centralized grain storing. According to the technical passport HPP wheat storage capacity is 37 thousand tones. In the nearest future new bread-baking plant (10 tones capacity per day) will be built in the territory of the new enterprise in Ulyanovsk region.

A planned production capacity of all enterprises may be reached within 1,5 — 2,0 years. SAHO total amount of investments into Ulyanovsk project will be RUR 950 mln., RUR 240 mln. have been already used. The expenditures are supposed to be covered within 5–8 years. Under the project realization SAHO hopes for the state support in accordance with the current legislation of the Ulyanovsk region.
