Atomstroyexport Plans to Increase its State Order Portfolio to $20bln
OREANDA-NEWS. In the next two years Atomstroyexport is planning to increase its state order portfolio to $20bln, the president of the company Sergey Shmatko said in an interview to Izvestia newspaper on Wednesday, reported the press-centre of Atomstroyexport.
Presently, the company is building five nuclear power units in Bulgaria, India and Iran and is planning to start two new projects in China next year. As soon as the Nuclear Suppliers Group lift their restrictions on exports to India, ASE may sign a contract for the construction of, at least, four nuclear power units in that country.
“We are negotiating with 20 countries, but we realize that much more countries wish to have nuclear power plants as NPP has become a prestigious product,” Shmatko said.
