Raiffeisenbank Opens New Subsidiary in Tyumen
OREANDA-NEWS. On October 24, 2007 ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria opened a new subsidiary in Tyumen. This is the tenth Russian region where the bank now serves private and corporate customers, reported the press-centre of Raiffeisenbank.
This opening is particularly significant for Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG, the sole shareholder of ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria, since the Tyumen subsidiary is the 3,000th business outlet in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
The opening ceremonies were held at the subsidiary’s offices and attended by Raiffeisenbank management board members Johann Jonach, Pavel Gurin and Christoph Schoefboeck. Other honored guests at the ceremony included Austria’s ambassador to Russia Martin Vukovich, Tyumen Region governor Vladimir Yakushev.
The press conference was devoted to the Bank’s plans for business in the region. In response to journalists’ questions, Johann Jonach, the CEO of ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria, stated: “The economic potential of the Tyumen Region is attracting increasing interest from business and major financial structures, including international corporations. The experience of leading global and Russian companies demonstrates that investment in the region’s economy is an excellent use of funds; hence, our decision to open a subsidiary in Tyumen.”
The new office will be open to clients Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:00 and will have a 24-hour ATM. Like all of Raiffeisenbank’s other branches and subsidiaries, the Tyumen office will offer a full range of services to corporate and private clients, including loan products, deposits, current accounts, all types of cards, safe deposit boxes, travellers cheques, investment products.
The subsidiary will also offer the services of Raiffeisenbank affiliates OOO Raiffeisen Leasing, NPF Raiffeisen, and OOO UK Raiffeisen Capital.
ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria is ranked 8th in terms of assets among top Russian banks based on H1 2007 results (Interfax-СЕА). At present the bank disposes of 33 branches in Moscow, 6 branches in Saint Petersburg and regional branches in Ekaterinburg, Samara, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Perm and Tyumen, representative office and credit cash office in Ufa.
