OREANDA-NEWS. CenterTelecom has entered the list of Russia’s 200 biggest companies in terms of market value, as assessed by rating agency Expert on the basis market cap reports on shares traded on the Moscow Inter-Currency Exchange and Russian Trading System as of August 31, 2007.

CenterTelecom placed 77th in 2007 in the final rating assigned it a year earlier with a market capitalization of Rub 37.05 bln ($1.4 bln).  According to management, the company’s retention of its position in the rating was due not only to scheduled work to improve business at CenterTelecom and improve its financial indicators, but also roll out a system for submission of information to the investment community.

According to the rating methodology, an issuer is regarded as a candidate for inclusion in the rating only if its shares display high, medium or sufficient liquidity.  When determining the share price preference is given trade platforms with the largest trade turnover for the share in question.
