The press secretary of the head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Energy Sergey Novikov says that the head of the international department of Atomenergoprom Veniamin Polysayev has been appointed as the chairman of the board of directors of the Center. The shareholders of the Center are Russia (90 and Kazakhstan (10%).

Angarsk Electrolytic Chemical Combine has provided an area for storing an amount of enriched uranium sufficient for fuelling a 1,000MW reactor twice. The uranium will be provided to concerned states.

Novikov says that the Center is an instrument for guaranteeing international fuel supplies.
