OREANDA-NEWS. 10 years ago, on 24 October 1997 there was created the analytic service of KAMAZ Inc. At the same time there was appointed its manager - Boris Morozov.

In 1997 Ivan Kostin - the then Director General - gathered managers and key specialists for the strategic planning session. The groups worked out several “breakthrough” projects. Collaborative effort in estimation of the modelling results allowed to find the most suitable development.

This method of dealing with management tasks proved to be very effective. Consequently, there was formed the council of experts under Director General “to organize and support cost reduction and innovation activity”. Then there was organized the labour body - the analytic center (later it was renamed the service). It worked out ideas, suggestions, projects, feasibility study and business-plans, monitored and forecast micro- and macroeconomic trends.

During decade the analysts helped to avoid a great number of mistakes, paid attention to the most important strategic projects, initiated a lot of innovations. They developed the methods of business-planning, assessment of innovations, realized the first projects of lean production, invented new kinds of business, etc.
