OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2007. It was devoted to enhancing the energo-efficiency and technical policy of distribution grids. Basic theme was "Communication of data along the power conductors – PLC-technologies". The forum was attended by managers of electricity supply companies of Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk,Nizhni Novgorod, and representatives from Federal network company, MRSK of Volga and Ural, Rostehnadzor, Department of Fuel –Power Business of Moscow.

Club of specialists for electricity distribution specialists "ELEKTROPOLIS" was organized by initiative of JSC "Schneider Electric ". The first meeting was on 16 November 2006 in Nahabino, where were approved the Charter, membership of the Board and the plans. Basic goal of the Club is establishing the platform for exchange of advanced technologies and expertise in technological policy, operation and design of equipment for distribution networks in Russia and abroad. Currently the members of the Club "ELEKTROPOLIS" are the leading specialists of regional power distribution companies of RF, managers of profile departments of the Federal networks company and inter-regional networks companies.

Participants of the forum were greeted by General Director of JSC "Tatenergo" I.Sh. Fardiev, he told about reforming the network business. He said that big reconstruction of distribution networks started in 2002. For example, the decision was made to maximally use in city networks esp. for 1 category users, the transformer substations of full factory readiness "BKTP", furnished with facilities by "Schneider Electric ". For RP and RTP are used the cells KSO "Avrora" with vacuum switches by PO "Eltehnika". Regarding RZA, the microprocessor devices are the priority. In reconstructing the distribution networks are widely used the self-carrying insulated lines and cable made from cross-linked polyethylene. For further development of distribution networks the Republic of Tatarstan made first steps in development of own production of power machines and devices. E.g. the plant "ТАТEK" for production of "BKTP" was commissioned, the others will be opened shortly.

The meeting was led by President of Club - Technical Director of JSC "Schneider Electric " V.А.Sazhenkov. At the plenary meeting were discussed the technical messages and reports of the Director for Technologies of JSC "FSK UES" Michael Lint, Technical Director of JSC "Grid Company" Boris Zabelkin, head of SPS JSC "Grid Company" Shamil Hakimov, Deputy Chief Engineer of Kazan Grids Rashat Galimzyanov, Director fro Automation and Grid management by firm "Schneider Electric " Sergei Balashov. The briefing was held with leading specialist of Rostehnadzor of RF Victor Shatrov.

In the course of the forum the issue of distribution network development was discussed. The participants said that the Club of specialists fro electricity distribution is a filed for free view exchange and urgent problems decision. The meetings are traditionally held in power engineering complexes, famous for their utilization of the modern innovative technologies.

The vendor for the meeting was JSC "Tatenergo". In the power holding the focus is upgrading the distribution networks. Grid Company of "Tatenergo" on annual basis build more distribution networks of mid- and low voltage. The newly build installations are efficient, safe and require little funds for maintenance. Management of company seeks new technologies and their application in construction and reconstruction of distribution networks and facilities upgrading. The participants visited the substation "Novokremlevskaya", distribution plant 10 kV of Kazan Kremlin and other entities of distribution networks of "Tatenergo".
