Berezniky HPP-2 Received the Certificate
OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2007. The Commissions of inspection of readiness for operation within autumn-winter period of 2007-2008 of TGC-9 branches, located in Perm Territory, continue their work.
Berezniky HPP-2, TGC-9 Branch, was granted a certificate of readiness for the operation within autumn-winter period. The Branch which incorporates three power stations – Berezniky HPP-2, HPP-4 and HPP-10 – is responsible for reliable heat and power supply to Berezniky City situated in the north of Perm Territory.
The specialists of Rostechnadzor, Uralenergotechnadzor, TGC-9 Production Direction, responsible for Perm Territory, were involved into activity of commissions to inspect the readiness of equipment and communications of the branch for the winter, as well as to examine the industrial safety at the power stations. Besides, due to the emergency conditions at OJSC Uralkaliy mine and its possible negative consequences for the city the representatives of the State Defense and Emergency Situations Agencies of Perm Territory also took part in inspection of the power equipment.
According to the results of inspection the branch of TGC-9 Berezniky HPP-2 was recognized as ready for reliable power supply to residents and productions facilities of Berezniky during the autumn-winter period. Within the preparation for operation under the terms of the highest loads there were repaired and overhauled the pieces of equipment at the power stations of the branch, in particular: Berezniky HPP-2 turbine was repaired, the required amount of backup fuel was reserved, personnel was trained, production and administrative buildings of the power station were winterized. Besides, in accordance with the schedule TGC-9 is proceeding to realize the project of continuous heat supply to Berezniky City within heat season of 2007-2008, taking into account the forecast of development of consequences of anthropogenic accident at the potash mine. To ensure the reliable heat supply of one of the largest cities in Perm Territory, TGC-9 is planning to transfer the heat supply to residential areas from HPP-10, located in potentially dangerous area, to Berezniky HPP-4. According to the project there are held the works on preparation of this power station to bear increased loads, construction of the new heat main, reconstruction of heat withdrawals from Berezniky HPP-2 to widen the zone of heat supply of the power station, as well as the other actions are performed.
Earlier the certificates of readiness of TGC-9 branches in Perm Territory were granted to Perm Heating Networks, Chaikovsk HPP-18, Kizel SDPP-3, Zakamsk HPP-5 and Perm HPP-13. The specialists of the Commission of inspection of readiness of power equipment for winter note the high level of preparation of TGC-9 branches for operation under the terms of increased loads. For instance the branch Kizel SDPP-3 responsible for heat supply to Gubakha town of Perm Territory, has successfully prepared for operation within the autumn-winter period not only their own equipment and communications, but the municipal heating networks as well, leased by TGC-9 on a long term basis. By the beginning of November the commissions will inspect the readiness for the winter of all branches of the Company, located in Perm Territory.
