Bank of Moscow Takes Part in International Antwerp Diamond Conference
OREANDA-NEWS. Managing Director of the De Beers groupe Harret Penni, Prime-Minister of Flanders Kris Peters, Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglits, President of Liberia Hellen Johnson-Sirlif, Chairman of Kimberley Process Karel Kovanda, ex-lord-mayor of London Sir David Bruer, President of ALROSA Sergey Vybornov and others participated in the International Antwerp Diamond Conference 2007, the bank's press service reported.
It was for the first time that a Russian bank - Bank of Moscow - took part in the conference, devoted to development of the diamond-mining industry. Vice-President of the Bank of Moscow Sergey Yermolaev participated within work of its financial section, where he made a presentation of his Bank and reported on how the Bank of Moscow is financing the diamond-mining and diamond-finishing enterprises of Russia.
"Bank of Moscow today is significantly increasing his credit portfolio of diamond enterprises: this industry is one of our Bank's priorities," Sergey Yermolaev said.-"The volume of credits, granted to diamond-mining and lapidary enterprises for the last four years, exceeds 60 billion rubles. We plan to continue developing our cooperation with diamond enterprises, increasing volumes and terms of crediting of these companies."
At present, Bank of Moscow cooperates with the largest diamond-mining and lapidary enterprises. Among its clients one can find OAO АК Alrosa, ОАО Severalmaz, ОАО Diamonds of Anabar, ZАО Ruiz Diamonds and others.
