Astarta-Kiev and ABN AMRO Bank Sign Facility Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. Earlier this month, Astarta-Kievv signed a credit facility agreement with ABN AMRO Bank, a large European bank, the press-service of Astarta reported.
The credit facility amounts to USD 25 mln and serves the financing of the working capital of Astarta-Kiev. Astarta-Kyiv managed to negotiate a very attractive interest rate, and now enjoys financing costs comparable to other Ukrainian blue chip companies. Commenting on this Facility Agreement, Astarta-Kievv Director-General Viktor Ivanchyk said: "By importance and value for our business, this loan facility agreement can be compared to our IPO in 2006."
ABN AMRO Bank, based in The Netherlands, is an international banking group with its origins dating back to 1824. It has over 4500 offices in 53 countries worldwide, in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia and Australia, serving corporate and individual clients. It has over 105 000 employees worldwide. As of December 31, 2006, Bank's assets were EUR987 billion. Earlier this month, the shares of ABN AMRO Bank were acquired by a consortium consisting of Royal Bank of Scotland, Banco Santander and Fortis Bank.
