OREANDA-NEWS. On October 22, 2007 a member of international financial group AB DnB NORD Bankas has successfully upgraded its internet banking system to offer its customers faster and more user-friendly internet banking services, reported the press-centre of DnB NORD Bankas.  

From now on the users of the internet banking services of DnB NORD Bankas (www.i-linija.lt) are welcomed to discover not only state-of-art website design which matches the Bank style, but also a wider variety of payments and services and better comprehensible and user-friendly system. When upgrading the internet banking system of DnB NORD Bankas a great attention was dedicated for increasing its functionality and data security while maintaining familiar for customers working environment.

"Currently the customers of DnB NORD Bankas make approximately 85 percent of payments via internet banking system and this number increases constantly. Therefore when renewing the internet banking system it was especially important for us to ensure that it would no only meet all up-to-date requirements of individual and corporate customers, but would also be easily improvable and support speedy implementation of new solutions. This project has proved once again that the investment to customer service quality is and shall remain the major priority of DnB NORD Bankas operational development”, said Sigitas Zutautas, the Executive Vice- president of DnB NORD Bankas in charge of retail banking development.

The internet banking system of DnB NORD Bankas which was this year ranked as the Best Bank in Lithuania by Euromoney magazine, provides its customers with possibility to manage funds on their accounts from any personal computer with an internet access, as well as to sign deposit agreements and change contractual conditions thereof, order payment cards, get information on account balances and history thereof, make local and international payment orders, exchange currency and declare assets and incomes. 

The bank customers who do not have internet access are welcomed to use the internet banking services at 67 DnB NORD self-service bank terminals available in various cities across the country.

Making payments online is cheaper than doing it in a bank branch. As to payments for services such as telecommunication services, cable television services and utilities, DnB NORD Bankas applies no commissions. 

Continuous improvements of the internet banking system of DnB NORD Bankas lead to increasing number of the bank customers using the internet banking services (the number increased by 30 percent up to 220 thousand users this year). Upon widening the possibilities of online provision of services this number is expected to continue rising and reaching 300 thousand users at the end of next year.
