Japan Gives High Priority to Nuclear Energy Cooperation with Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. In 2007 the trade turnover between Russia and Japan exceeded $13bln, the economy minister of the Japanese Embassy in Russia Takashi Hikihara said at a briefing in Moscow.
Among the most promising spheres of the Russian-Japanese economic cooperation are nuclear energy, railways, information technologies, production of liquefied gas and oil refining.
“We believe that we should give more specific attention to our cooperation in the nuclear sphere. We expect that the parties will intensify their talks for concluding cooperation agreement in the sphere,” Hikihara said.
