OREANDA-NEWS. On October 18, 2007 the power supply to JSC “Yarenergo” consumers was completely restored, as Grids Maintenance Center informed, reported the press-centre of JSC “IDGC of the Center”.

As previously stated, on October 15-16 the distribution grids in five districts (Gavrilov-Yamsky, Pereslavsk, Nekrasovsk, Rostovov districts) of Yaroslavl region were cut off due to heavy snow, gale force wind and falling trees. Three 35 kV aerial lines, two 110 kV aerial lines, ten 35 kV substations and 30 6-10 kV feeders were cut off.

By the order of Sergey Schumacher, Deputy General Director – Technical Director of JSC “IDGC of the Center” the special control procedure over power restoring activities was initiated. Igor Pavlovich Sharokhin, Deputy General Director – Chief Engineer of JSC “Yarenergo” headed the emergency operation center in JSC “Yarenergo”. Also, Sergey Anatolievich Romanov, the executives of JSC “Yarenergo” Rostov PD and JSC “Yarenergo” organization departments heads are the members of emergency operation center. The Center controls the activities on mitigation of consequences of technological failures.

More than 35 JSC “Yarenergo” maintenance teams equipped with advanced techniques worked on power units. The work was accomplished jointly with local authorities and regional civil defense units.

By the evening of October 16, the power supply to 35-110 kV substations as well as the power supply to the socially significant units was restored, and 35-100kV aerial lines were powered.

By the morning of October 18, 2007 the power supply to all populated districts was restored thanks to the professional and effective work.
