OREANDA-NEWS. On October 19, 2007 TransTeleCom has signed an agreement on network sharing with China Tietong Telecommunications Corporation, reported the press-centre of TransTeleCom.

The network interface between the two operators is at the border crossings Grodekova-Suifenhe and Zabaikalsk-Manchuria, which have a total bandwidth capacity of 5 GB/s (2хSTM-16).

TransTeleCom and China Tietong will offer channels between Europe and Asia and Russia and China. The commercial cooperation with China Tietong will result in the creation of a further ring on partner networks and the full reservation of the EurasiaHighway route, which will lead to a significant increase in the reliability of the international Eurasian project.

TransTeleCom had previously organised network cooperation with leading backbone operators in China - China Unicom, China Telecom and China Netcom.

The total bandwidth of the links to China at the two border crossings Grodekova-Suifenhe and Zabaikalsk-Manchuria is 40 GB/s, allowing TransTeleCom to benefit from commercial cooperation with the biggest operators in China.
