OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2007. Multisectoral relationship between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan including oil sector is developing rapidly. The negotiations and agreement achieved during the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to Kazakistan in August, 2007 proved it again. The representatives of SOCAR-V. Baylarbayov, deputy of the vice-president on Investment and Marketing Department , N. Valiyev, chief of Science and Technic division and S. Shafiyev, engineer of the company attended International Oil and Gas Exhibition-Conference held in Almaty. More than 600 companies from 33 countries presented their expositions during this important even held at Atakant exhibition center. The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Minbayev and other officials came to the exhibition hall of SOCAR. The expositions showing the recent successes of SOCAR attracted great interest of the participants and the guests of the exhibitions. During the event SOCAR received numerous offeres from different companies for cooperation. Those offers could pave the way for future bilateral cooperations. During the meetings SOCAR representatives answered the questions about Azari-Chirag-Gunashli, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Shahdaniz and South Caucasus Pipeline projects, and investment potential of SOCAR. The speech of V. Baylarbayov, deputy of the vice-president on Investment and Marketing Department on “The role of Caspian region at world energy security” also created great interest in the participants.
