Ukraine Harvests Over 28 m. Tons of Grain
OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. As of middle October, Ukraine has harvested over 28 M. tons of grain, Agrarian Policy Minister Yuriy Melnyk said, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
The grain balance in the current marketing year suggests Ukraine's grain requirements will be met.
According to data, of the Agrarian Policy Ministry, grain crop in 2007 is expected at 29 to 30 M. tons against 34,3 M. tons in 2006.
The Agrarian Policy Ministry predicts Ukraine's need in grain at 27 M. tons.
