OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2007. The norms and standards of Ukraine's civil aviation will be approximated to those of the EU. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Head of the State Aviation Administration Anatoliy Kolisnyk, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

According to him, the approximation program was launched in September 2007 and will be completed in December.

Mr. Kolisnyk also said that the main aim of the program is Ukraine's compliance with the requirements of the Joint Aviation Authorities and full membership in that organization incorporating 42 European countries. The EU has provided around EUR 1 M for the program's implementation.
