NLMK Wins All-Russian Educational Programme Competition
OREANDA-NEWS. On October 18, 2007 NLMK’s educational institution, Training College No.10, has won an All-Russian competition for innovative educational programmes. The contest took place in Moscow as part of the 2007 Educational Forum, reported the press-centre of NLMK.
The forum, which was attended by more than 300 Russian educational institutions, was hosted by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Federal Educational Agency and the All-Russian Exhibition Centre.
Training College No.10 won an award for introducing advanced methods of vocational education, and for training NLMK staff as part of the Education national project. One of the most important factors in selecting a winner was NLMK’s support in training employees for the company’s intensive technology production.
NLMK allocated 28.6m rubles to Training College No.10 to purchase modern laboratory and production training equipment, training systems, dedicated computer classrooms and cutting-edge modular training programs. The company has financed the maintenance of the Training College building and classrooms.

Each year NLMK reserves more than 200 places for graduates of Training College No.10. The company guarantees to pay no less than 11 thousand rubles to the young employees, as well as provide them with additional benefits for the first four months of their employment. They can also take part in the programme for young employees, which gives them the opportunity to develop their career, and purchase housing on favourable terms.
